A Cali-Mexican bar and burrito joint in Oslo, Norway
For Barrio, I handled concept development, branding, graphic design, illustration, interior design, and photography—creating a distinct identity that brought warmth and authenticity to a previously sterile commercial space.
To achieve an inviting, weathered look, I exposed the original building materials and repurposed existing elements. The bar and tables were crafted from the venue’s original floorboards, while discarded construction materials were transformed into textured wall coverings. Hand-painted murals, lettering, and custom interior pieces added a handcrafted feel, while decor sourced from the U.S. and Mexico reinforced the Cali-Mexican vibe. A bold, vibrant color palette brought energy and warmth, making the space both joyful and immersive.
